Nicole Scheffler, Cisco Partner Engineering Strategy Leader and Co-founder/Host, Diva Tech Talk podcast
This year, Kathleen Norton-Schock and and Nicole Scheffler gained two more awards for the Diva Tech Talk Podcast in the Podcast and Women’s Issues Radio Program categories. This powerful duo has previously won five Clarion awards for their podcast work which is focused on telling the in-depth career journeys of Women in Technology careers to inspire more women to join the field of technology.
Nicole also secured a Clarion for her leadership in the Women of Cisco Rebranding in the Employee Relations Campaign category. The project highlights the efforts of an Employee Resource Organization rebrand, consolidation, and re-launch for Women of Cisco (previously two separate internal networks with the same cause, Cisco Empowered Women’s Network and Cisco Connected Women). Most of the submitted work was around the social media and marketing aspects of this successful campaign. Nicole was serving on both the Global Women of Cisco board and the Americas Women of Cisco board as the Social Media Co-Lead for this project.
Her personal blog on “Three Career Gifts” also obtained a Clarion in the personal blog category. Read this winning blog here.
Susan Voyles, President, Logos Communications
Susan Voyles and her company, Logos Communications, won a Clarion for their outstanding logo work in the Photography and Graphics category. The forming of a new communications business, Word and Vision Consulting, Inc., called for the need to create a bold identity and a company logo representing the creative character of the new business.
The purpose of the new Word and Vision Consulting logo was to create a modern, fresh look that would immediately connect potential clients to the style and creative quality of the company while also being an easy identifier. The challenge was to take a longish name, Word and Vision Consulting, Inc., and connect it with a simple identifier that was bold, colorful, pleasing to the viewer in various forms, and easy to link with the idea of the what the company is all about, telling client stories through word and images (artwork).
Laura Oliveto, Vice President, Marketing & Public Relations, SSDM
Laura Oliveto was recognized in the Advertising and Marketing category for StoryPoint: Brenda’s New Home, a promotional video that was meant to allay fear among seniors and their families surrounding Memory Care. StoryPoint is a group of more than three dozen senior living communities across the Midwest that provides various levels of care for its residents, including Memory Care, for those suffering from dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other cognitive conditions.
This persuasive video features Brenda, a StoryPoint resident, and highlights StoryPoint’s exceptional services through her eyes. The hope was that it would help those facing dementia see that it’s possible to live a fulfilling life after diagnosis and increase community interest and enrollment in StoryPoint’s Memory Care communities.
Congratulations to all of our winners!!
