AI has impacted every aspect of our lives, and we find that our audiences are curious and cautious about this relatively new tool that promises higher productivity, an easier way to knock off mundane tasks and outlines, and countless other benefits, even at the risk of sacrificing some accuracy, authenticity, and privacy.

We’ve invited a computer and data scientist, a rhetorician, an attorney, and a librarian to provide a look at this rapidly spreading ability to tap unknown resources, and in essence, reason with a robot. How are we preparing communicators to take full advantage of everything AI promises?

Guided by our experienced moderator, who has deep expertise in the communications field, the discussion promises to be dynamic and thought-provoking.

An exploration to understand and utilize AI from four perspectives:

  • Science behind AI in communications
  • Ethical use of AI in communications
  • Legal use of AI in communications including copyright laws
  • Preparing students to be future communicators in an AI world
