Meet new member, Laura L’Esperance. Laura has been a communications, public relations and branding professional for the entirety of her 25+ year career, working with nonprofits, municipalities and global financial services organizations. She is passionate about women’s empowerment—especially encouraging and supporting them in running for public office. She is excited about her new AWC membership and looking forward to meeting like-minded people as well as taking advantage of the interesting educational content AWC provides.

Meet new member, Elishia "Jayye" Johnson. Jayye is the Director of Communications for Mothering Justice, a grassroots social justice organization that advocates for policy change centered around empowering black women to take action on policy issues that aim to improve quality of life for families in Michigan and America. Jayye is also an advocate for improved access to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) resources for marginalized Youth and Adults to allow them to have the tools and knowledge they need to creatively express themselves. Jayye hopes to collaborate with other AWC members to advocate for positive change in our society.
