Career: 

My primary and most important role is being a stay-at-home Mom. My professional role, working part-time, is as an administrator for a Real Estate Company, though my current focus is to finish my degree. 

 

Education:

I have obtained an associate’s degree in Art and Business Administration. I am now working on my undergraduate degree in Mass Communication and am on scheduled to graduate in December. I am exploring positions in marketing, creative writing, and other areas that might fit my interests and skills.

What You Should Know:

  • I have a low-key life. I like to think of myself as crafty, as I “crafted” my daughter, and I’m pretty proud of her. 

AWC Focus

  • What I am hoping to get out of my membership is professional development as well as being part of a supportive community. I am not sure how I would like to get involved yet. I think I would like to see where I fit. I have always had a passion for volunteering though. 

Personal:

  • Family and hometown – 
    • I have lived in the metro-Detroit area my whole life. My husband and I have one daughter and one dog. 
  • Interests: 
    • I love laughing, and I love chocolate. I am passionate about wellness and food. The kitchen is my zone. I like to create, and I thrive in environments where I can learn and grow. 
  • Causes/volunteer service: 
    • I like to donate my time/money when and where I am able to. I am almost always up for a 5k for a good cause. In past years I have worked for Habitat for Humanity, donated my locks to Wigs for Kids, and volunteered at the Special Olympics Fall Games. Most recently, I volunteered at the Forgotten Harvest warehouse packaging food to be distributed to the mobile pantries. Currently, I am volunteering with the Panera Ministry through my church. I help sort leftover Panera baked goods that are distributed to various venues in the area.
