Molly MacDonald, a former journalist, is founder and CEO of The Pink Fund, which provides short-term, non-medical financial assistance to breast cancer patients in active treatment. “Dancing With The Survivors” is her signature fundraising event.
Laurie uses her journalism background to tell powerful stories for the Oakland Literary Council, a non-profit that seeks to end adult illiteracy. She also has an MFA in writing.
Tarana has two master's degrees in communications and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Business Administration. She also displays an entrepreneurial streak through her online bridal accessory and jewelry business. Another sideline is her work as voice-over talent.
Chiara is a communications and outreach specialist for the Area Agency on Aging 1B. She also worked as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which set the course for her career in non-profit communications.
Elizabeth Russell earned a graduate degree in communications from Grand Valley State University, and works at the university's Detroit branch, overseeing daily operations. She is also the author of two yet-to-be-published children's books.
Anjelica is a recent Wayne State grad who works in PR with clients in manufacturing, retail, utility and non-profit industries. She was the first web intern for Hour Detroit, and one of her first college newspaper stories was shared 250 times within 24 hours.
Cindy Orlandi is a retired PR and marketing executive who is still pursuing her passions in writing and volunteer work. AWC-Detroit's Little Libraries initiative in Detroit inspired her to donate copies of her book, which benefits a favorite cause, animal rescue.
